Elana's First Day of School

So I just put Elana on the bus, for her first day of school. She was so excited. She was the first one up this morning and even wanted to go to bed at 3:30 yesterday afternoon so she could get to school today. It's nice to come back in the house and have it be quiet. Isaac and Eviee are still in bed. I might get to close my eyes for a few minutes. How nice would that be. So Elana is in half day kindergarten so she will get home around 12:00 today. I have plenty to do to keep me busy, starting with getting ready for her birthday party on Saturday. She's going to be 5 tomorrow. David's home, he took the day off to do some work on the shed he's building. So I might even get to run some errands child free. That makes the work go faster.
Well here's pictures of Elana on her big first day!

Where did the summer go!

So today was the first day of school for Eliza. She's in the first grade. She is very excited. Yesterday I took the girls and got their hair cut, then last night I took Eliza to the open house at school and found her classroom and met her teacher and all that good stuff. I can't believe I will have one child gone at school all day. Elana will start on Thursday. We went and met her teacher and saw her classroom this morning. I think she's excited. She certainly thinks she's a big girl now. Isaac well he's just Isaac, cute as can be and learning to be real bossy, he does like to get into a bit of trouble now and again. Eviee is just about 5 months old and a really good girl, I kept hoping she'd suck her thumb, but she has opted for her left wrist, she even has a pretty worn in hickey there. It's pretty funny to watch her go to town on it. Of course she also likes to suck on her toes when she gets the chance. All in all we are doing well. School started back at Miami yesterday and David is taking a class in accounting I think, he's planning to get his masters degree. Plus he teaches a computer lab course 2 nights a week. So everyone is staying busy and I think it will be nice to have a schedule to follow each day.

Getting in more fun before summer is done!

Well the kids had a pretty fun weekend. Friday we went to this really fun park with some friends. Everybody had a good time, Isaac especially seemed to like the merry go round. Then on Saturday primary had an activity. It was a little pioneer trek west! The girls were so excited that they got to do a trek. They were bummed that it wasn't over night nor did they have pioneer clothes. But they had a great time. They climed "mountians", went through rivers and then when they finished they got to milk a cow, make butter, bread and roast hot dogs, they even played stick pull and had a cow patty toss. Fun stuff. Sunday after church we had a potluck at our friends the Leishmans because their son Brandon is leaving for college this weekend. Then yesterday we went with a bunch of friends to this fun little park, that has a "wet" and "dry" park. The wet park, is a big pirate ship with fountains spraying water everywhere and a little water slide. I forgot to take pictures, but we will be going back for Elana's b-day so we will post pictures then. We also want to say a happy birthday to Uncle Eric. Sorry we forgot to call on Sunday. Hope you had a great day!

Learning more everyday

As you can see, I am learning how to do a bit more each day. This is kind of fun.
Thanks to Eric and Jennylin for their helpful hints and directions to make this all look so much better. Bear with me as I continue figuring it all out.

Slowly but surely

So as you know I haven't gotten far. I am trying to get into a routine. And David is going to get some pictures together, and I'll just have to make sure I get in the habit of taking my camera everywhere. we will go to the park today so I'll get pictures there and of Eliza riding her bike. Her big accomplishment for the summer is learning to ride with out training wheels. Grandma June bought her a two wheeler at a garage sale. So she is big stuff now. Elana has a b-day coming at the end of the month, the big 5. She's excited. Isaac well he's just as cute as ever, smiling all the time and always coming out with new words that sound so cute. Eviee, is a good girl, getting big, she was 12.5 pounds at her last check up. And 24in long, a whole 2 feet now. David is still trying to get the items on his "list" done. I know one day my water softener will be hooked up. I'm staying busy, just trying to keep them all happy and getting my Mary Kay businees back on it's feet. So if you are in need of skin care or make-up let me know!

I will post some pictures of fun and some sadness we had while on our trip to Utah. Thanks to all who helped with the girls. They really had a good time and miss their cousins heaps. I do too!!
